  • What is Physical Therapy?
Physical therapy is a medical, hands-on approach to relieving pain and restoring function. Physical therapists are medical experts in musculoskeletal and neurological conditions and work closely with physicians. Our physical therapists evaluate your movement patterns, identify the cause of your pain and work to eliminate it. While every patient’s condition and pain is unique, your physical therapist will use a variety of gentle hands-on techniques, exercises and equipment to relieve pain quickly and restore your function to optimum levels. The overall goal is to restore pain-free mobility and function and to prevent the injury or pain from recurring.

We pride ourselves on providing a positive, encouraging environment with well-trained, friendly staff. We are confident in our ability to help you reach your goals and live a pain-free life.
  • To what extent are our physical therapists and coaches qualified?
Physical therapists and coaches have years of university-level training in anatomy, physiology, kinesiology (the study of joint movement) and many of the other medical sciences. Our physical therapists and coaches have graduated from accredited physical therapy and strength and conditioning programmes. Rest assured, your therapists and coaches are well trained to evaluate and treat your condition.
  • How long does a physiotherapy/training session last?
Typically, the first session lasts for 1 hour. Each session after that may be 45-60 minutes. The amount of time will be based on your specific needs and your therapist will discuss this with you.
  • Is physiotherapy painful?
Physical therapy is not meant to hurt, but to relieve pain. However, as you restore your mobility, pain levels, at times can fluctuate. You might experience some temporary soreness from using muscles that are weakened or recovering. This is a normal response to therapy treatment. Good communication with your therapist and trainers will help minimise any discomfort. We want you on your way to quick pain relief and back to normal activities.
  • How many sessions do I need before I can fully recover from an injury?
Each patient’s diagnosis is different, so your therapist will develop a plan of care that is right for you. Your plan of care and number of visits will be determined during your first visit and explained to you by your physical therapist.
  • How can you treat my injury without touching me?
A common misconception of physical therapy is that it must involve hands-on treatment. In reality, this is only one tool available to a physical in diagnosing and treating an injury or chronic condition. Educating patients, identifying contributing personal lifestyle and fitness factors, as well as implementing a specific exercise or movement programme, are some of the most important things physical therapists do. Modern physical therapy is no longer reliant on complex machines and manual techniques and is trending towards guided self-care and coordinated rehabilitation programmes, granting you much-needed control of your own recovery. Research has shown that outcomes are enhanced, if not realistically better through online consultation, due to the personal empowerment and easy facilitation we offer. And as always, if we determine you have an injury that requires a hands-on or physician's approach, we will let you know immediately!
  • Are online sessions available?
Yes, absolutely! If you would like to schedule an online session, simply book an appointment or call us on the numbers provided or fill out the contact form. These are one-on-one sessions with coaches/physiotherapists conducted on video platforms of your choice (such as Zoom, WhatsApp etc.).
  • What if I’m not sure if I’m doing my prescribed exercises right?
We will work with you during the initial evaluation and all treatment consultations to ensure you have perfected any new exercises. We will demonstrate any new or unfamiliar techniques until you are comfortable doing them yourself and will ask you to demonstrate back to us to confirm you have a comprehensive understanding. You will also have the opportunity to ask as many questions as you need during the patient education parts of consultation. Your self-confidence in performing prescribed, key movements is crucial to our cooperative success.
